Brand Reputation- Key Element of any Business Model

Brand reputation plays a great role in keeping up the organizations honesty and forces them to take definitive actions rather than simply making public statements. Increasingly the key element of any business model, brand reputation has much power because people view brands as means of personal identification. Due to the differences in the cultural and geographic interpretations and now Globalization has further complicated branding. To sum up, the primary catalyst for all these changes is the ever increasing prominence of the Internet.

All you need is a Google real-time search for your brand to see what's being mentioned in social networking sites about your company and brand. Inc.magazine has reported that almost 90% of the purchases are made by online research. When your consumer is online to research about you, not only are the informed analysis brought to the front but also the comments made by all including your competitors.

So are you protecting your reputation?
If not, start doing it now. One negative comment can take off a potential customer. Your brand is to be valued to someone to hijack it.

What should be done, check out..
1. Make sure the names of your company, product, key executives, etc are all claimed on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

2. Either through Google alerts or Radian 6, set up a “Listening Station”, if you want to know what is said about you.

3.By creating your own messages, you can tell about your company and product.

4. Have a crises marketing plan so you have a proactive solution ready if someone starts to attack your brand.

Be prepared, it’s not too late, but you need to start now.
